Pasuruan – As part of the preparation for the 2026 International Community Service Program (KKN Internasional), the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan organized a Pre-Departure Orientation Program on June 22, 2026, at the Nusantara Building, 2nd Floor. The event was attended by all students who will carry out community service activities in Malaysia and Thailand.

The orientation was designed to strengthen participants' readiness not only in academic and community engagement aspects but also in documenting and disseminating their community service activities to the public. Four main topics were delivered during the program: social media management, news writing, community service article writing, and integrity and ethics as essential competencies for students participating in an international community service program.

Through the social media session, participants were equipped with strategies to build a positive image of the university by creating informative, educational, and responsible digital content. Meanwhile, the news writing and community service article sessions aimed to ensure that every community engagement activity is well documented and published as an academic output that contributes to both society and scholarly development.

During the integrity and ethics session, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of upholding the good reputation of Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan, respecting the culture and social norms of the host communities, maintaining professionalism, and fostering respectful communication in an international environment.

In his remarks, the Rector of Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan emphasized that the participants of the International Community Service Program serve as ambassadors of both the university and Indonesia on the global stage.

"The International Community Service Program is more than just a community engagement initiative; it is a platform for cross-cultural learning. Be students who inspire through your contributions, uphold ethical values in every action, and demonstrate the outstanding character of Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan in the international community," the Rector stated.

Meanwhile, the Chair of the 2026 International Community Service Program Committee explained that the orientation was designed to ensure that all participants are fully prepared before their departure.

"We expect every participant not only to be ready to implement their community service programs but also to produce high-quality documentation, news reports, and community service articles as forms of academic accountability and effective promotion of the success of the International Community Service Program," the Committee Chair said.

Through this orientation program, Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan expects all participants of the 2026 International Community Service Program to become adaptive, professional, and impactful agents of change who are capable of fostering international collaboration through meaningful community engagement. This initiative reflects the university's commitment to advancing the internationalization of higher education while enhancing students' competencies to contribute effectively to the global community.
