Nine Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan Students Embark on International Community Service Program, Strengthening Global Collaboration in Malaysia and Thailand
Pasuruan – Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan has once again demonstrated its commitment to expanding international partnerships through the implementation of the 2026 International Community Service Program (KKN Internasional). A total of nine outstanding students from various academic programs have officially departed to participate in community engagement activities in Malaysia and Thailand.
The International Community Service Program is one of the university's strategic initiatives to provide students with global learning experiences through community service, educational activities, and cross-cultural exchange at the international level. In addition to enhancing students' academic and social competencies, the program also serves as a platform to promote the values of moderation, Indonesian culture, and the spirit of international collaboration.
The students participating in the 2026 International Community Service Program are:
- Fitrada Andromeda – Bachelor's Program in Qur'anic Studies and Exegesis
- Lailatul Lutfiyah – Bachelor's Program in Islamic Education
- Mukhammad Syahrul Afrilian – Bachelor's Program in Psychology
- Intan Nur Ainy – Bachelor's Program in Psychology
- Muhammad Irhamul Mirzak – Bachelor's Program in Psychology
- Marsaa Ramiizah – Bachelor's Program in Agribusiness
- Agus Dwi Nur Cahyo – Bachelor's Program in Communication Science
- Abel Setyo – Bachelor's Program in Communication Science
- Makhillah Safnatul Musyarrof – Bachelor's Program in Industrial Engineering
Throughout the program, the students will carry out various community service initiatives, educational activities, literacy enhancement programs, and cultural exchange projects at several partner educational institutions, namely Satit Phatna School, Muslimeen Suksa School, Al-Abdiya Hafiz-English School, and Santi Wittaya School.
The participants are accompanied by two Faculty Supervisors:
- Dr. Achmad Yusuf, S.Pd.I., M.Pd., Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan.
- M. Sulhan, S.Sos., M.Ab., Research and Student Creativity Program Division, Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan.
The Rector of Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kholid Murtadlo, S.E., M.E., stated that the International Community Service Program is part of the university's commitment to preparing graduates with a global perspective and the ability to adapt to multicultural environments.
"The International Community Service Program is not only a platform for serving communities but also a real-world learning experience for our students to build international networks, strengthen cross-cultural competencies, and serve as ambassadors of Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan and Indonesia on the global stage," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the 2026 International Community Service Program, Assoc. Prof. Mochamad Hasyim, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I., expressed his hope that all participants would make the most of this valuable opportunity to enhance their academic capabilities, leadership, and international communication skills.
"We hope that our students will make meaningful contributions to the partner communities and institutions while gaining invaluable experiences that will enrich their personal and professional development as future leaders," he remarked.
Through this program, Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan continues to strengthen the role of higher education in fostering sustainable international collaboration. The International Community Service Program in Malaysia and Thailand is expected to further enhance partnerships between Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan and educational institutions across Southeast Asia while creating broader opportunities for academic development and community engagement on a global scale.
