Yudharta Makes an Impact! Monitoring and Evaluation of Kosabangsa and Community Empowerment by the Student Executive Board of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology – Science and Technology Directorate, Fiscal Year 2025.

Lumajang, November 12, 2025 — The Institute for Research and Community Service (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat / LPPM) of Yudharta University of Pasuruan conducted an Internal Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity for the implementation of the Kosabangsa Program and the Community Empowerment Program by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Kemdiktisaintek for the 2025 fiscal year. The event took place in Lumajang Regency and featured two experienced reviewers: Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukamto, MS from Widyagama University of Malang and Dr. Deny Utomo, S.Pi., M.P. from Yudharta University of Pasuruan.

The Monev aimed to assess the progress of program implementation, ensure alignment between plans and on-field achievements, and provide constructive feedback to the implementing teams. Both the Kosabangsa and Community Empowerment programs are part of the university’s continuous effort to enhance community welfare through innovation and cross-institutional collaboration.

In his opening remarks, the Head of LPPM Yudharta University of Pasuruan emphasized that internal monitoring and evaluation play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accountability of community service programs.

“Through this monitoring process, we aim to ensure that every activity carried out by our lecturers and students has a real impact on society and aligns with the vision of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education,” he stated.

The reviewer, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukamto, MS, expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm and innovation demonstrated by the program teams. He highlighted the importance of program sustainability and strengthening synergy with local partners.

“Community service programs must be designed to provide long-term solutions to societal challenges. Collaboration among universities, local governments, and communities must continue to be strengthened,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lukman Hakim, S.Kom., M.Kom., PhD. underscored the importance of proper documentation and scientific publication as forms of academic accountability.

“Each community service activity should be well-documented so it can serve as a reference and inspiration for future initiatives,” he noted.

The monitoring and evaluation activities included presentations of program results, evaluative discussions, and field visits to community partner locations in Lumajang. The event was marked by a dynamic and interactive atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment to continuously improving the quality and impact of community engagement programs.

Through this Monev activity, it is expected that the evaluation results will serve as the foundation for refining and strengthening strategies for future implementations of the Kosabangsa and Community Empowerment Programs, while reinforcing Yudharta University of Pasuruan’s reputation as a higher education institution actively contributing to regional development through research-based innovation and social engagement
