KKN 2026 FGD Aligns Perceptions on Guidelines, Field Supervisors' Roles, and Expected Outputs
Pasuruan – In preparation for the
implementation of the 2026 Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata
or KKN), the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Yudharta
University Pasuruan held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Thursday (June 4) at
the Smart Class Room, 3rd Floor of the Nusantara Building. The event, which
began at 10:00 a.m., was attended by Field Supervisors (Dosen Pembimbing
Lapangan or DPL) and members of the KKN organizing committee.
The FGD aimed to establish a
shared understanding among all parties involved in the implementation of the
2026 KKN program, particularly regarding the program guidelines, the rights and
responsibilities of Field Supervisors, and the expected outputs to be achieved
by students during their community service activities.
During the first session,
participants discussed in depth the 2026 KKN Guidelines, which will serve as
the primary reference for program implementation in the field. Various aspects
were reviewed, including implementation mechanisms, activity stages,
regulations, and reporting systems that must be fulfilled by both students and
supervisors.
According to the Head of the KKN
Organizing Committee, the guidelines were designed to provide clear direction
for all KKN participants.
"These guidelines serve
as the main reference to ensure that KKN activities are conducted according to
their objectives, are measurable, and generate positive impacts for the
community," he stated.
The participants then received an
explanation regarding the rights and responsibilities of Field Supervisors
(DPL). During the presentation, it was emphasized that supervisors play a
crucial role in mentoring students, providing academic guidance, monitoring
work programs, and evaluating the achievements of activities throughout the KKN
implementation.
According to the Head of LPPM,
the presence of Field Supervisors is one of the key factors determining the
success of KKN programs at each placement location.
"Field Supervisors are
not only responsible for monitoring activities but also serve as partners for
students in addressing various challenges encountered in the field. Therefore,
effective communication and coordination between students and supervisors are
essential," he said.
In addition to discussing
responsibilities, the forum also reviewed the rights granted to Field
Supervisors while carrying out their mentoring duties. This explanation
received considerable attention from participants because it is closely related
to the effectiveness of supervision in the field.
The next agenda focused on the development
and alignment of perceptions regarding the expected outputs of the 2026 KKN
program. Participants discussed various outputs that students are required to
produce, including final reports, video documentation, community service
articles, media publications, and other outputs that support the achievement of
the university’s key performance indicators.
According to the organizing
committee, aligning perceptions regarding expected outputs is essential to
ensure that all KKN groups achieve the same standards.
"We hope that every Field
Supervisor fully understands and oversees the achievement of the predetermined
outputs so that KKN results are not limited to program implementation but are
also well documented and published," he stated.
The discussion proceeded
actively, with participants providing various suggestions and recommendations
related to student mentoring strategies, reporting mechanisms, and efforts to
improve the quality of KKN outputs. These inputs will serve as valuable considerations
for refining the implementation of the 2026 KKN program.
At the conclusion of the FGD, the
committee expressed hope that the outcomes of the discussion would serve as a
common guideline for future KKN implementation.
"Through this activity,
we hope that all Field Supervisors will share the same understanding regarding
the guidelines, duties, responsibilities, and expected outputs of KKN so that
its implementation can be more effective and provide tangible benefits to the
community," he concluded.
